
JUSTIN SMITH
Justin Smith is violinist of The Outsiders, winner of the 2024 Tony Award for Best Musical. He is credited with Additional Orchestrations for writing the part he plays in the show. With over 3,500 performances on Broadway to his name, Justin’s other credits include Some Like It Hot, Dear Evan Hansen, Finding Neverland, Violet, Annie and Kander & Ebb’s haunting final work, The Scottsboro Boys.
Since 2014, Justin has toured extensively across North America as Solo Violinist for Kristin Chenoweth. Memorable among their 100+ concerts are Disney Hall in LA, the Ravinia Festival in Chicago and the Metropolitan Opera House in NYC. He also appeared on her PBS special Coming Home, and her Broadway concert runs, My Love Letter to Broadway and For The Girls.

An avid fiddler, Justin spent many years touring with Brooklyn country music iconoclasts, The Defibulators.
When the COVID-19 pandemic placed a glacial pause upon showbiz writ large, Justin joined forces with James Mallios and Civetta Hospitality to present live music in their family of fine-dining restaurants in NYC and on Long Island. At 300+ engagements since Summer 2020, their initiative remains robust.
In Summer 2021 & 2022, Justin co-produced Broadway Out East with Mallios, which presented Broadway stars in an intimate outdoor performance setting at Calissa in the Hamptons. Performers included Andrew Barth Feldman, Orfeh & Andy Karl, Joshua Henry, Brandon Victor Dixon, Jessica Vosk, Elizabeth Stanley, Teal Wicks, Kathryn Allison and American Idol legend Clay Aiken.
